Our Davos map: Congress Centre, stations and access roads
- Congress Centre Davos, Talstrasse 49A, Davos Platz: between the two stations
- Davos Platz and Davos Dorf railway stations
- Promenade and Talstrasse: the two long streets through the town
- Access roads: from Landquart and Klosters via Wolfgang (the road from Zurich), the Flüela Pass road (usually closed in winter from early January) and the Landwasser road (to Wiesen and Tiefencastel)

2026 information
Security zones and traffic: what applied in 2026
What the authorities announced for the 2026 meeting (19–23 January 2026), with dates and links. The 2027 rules are not published yet.
Security zones
Five zones from 18 January 2026, 18:00, until 23 January, 18:00, at the latest. They could be under video surveillance, and unauthorised entry could lead to prosecution.
Who could enter
With the appropriate authorisation, among others: residents, people tasked with dropping off and picking up participants, and people with a legitimate interest such as a hotel stay.
Checks
Checks on all roads into Davos and in the municipality: anyone stopped had to show ID and allow searches of themselves, their vehicle and luggage. Waiting times were possible.
Traffic
Traffic orders were possible from 5 to 31 January 2026, including closures at short notice. Examples:
- Promenade, from the Scalettastrasse junction to the English Church: closed 17 Jan, 15:00 – 24 Jan, 18:00, except authorised journeys
- Promenade pavement, Kongresshotel to the English Church: pedestrians with WEF accreditation only, 18–24 Jan
- Hertistrasse, between the Promenade and Talstrasse: closed 18 Jan, 18:00 – 23 Jan, 18:00, except people and vehicles with WEF accreditation and residents (official wording)
- Obere Strasse at the Belvédère: closed 18 Jan, 17:00 – 23 Jan, 18:00, except local buses and emergency services
- Several car parks closed, including the Congress Centre car park (11–26 Jan)
- 2027: the authorities publish each year's rules shortly before the meeting, in December in the past two years. We will update this section when they do. Last checked: 25 September 2026.
- Already announced by the municipality of Davos: the lake car park (Seeparkplatz) is closed for police use from 4 January 2027 until 28 January 2027 at the latest. gemeindedavos.ch
Getting there
Getting to Davos from Zurich Airport
By train
About 2 h 35–2 h 50 from Zurich Airport, with two changes (Zurich HB and Landquart); the Rhaetian Railway runs from Landquart via Klosters to Davos.

Driving yourself
Plan for winter roads. In the 2026 event week, all roads into Davos were checked and several car parks were closed.
Private jet via Zurich
Your chauffeur waits at the General Aviation terminal (no ramp access) and drives you on to Davos.
In Davos
Getting around Davos during the week
On foot
Davos Dorf and Davos Platz stations are about 3 km apart, some 40 minutes on foot. The Congress Centre is about 20 minutes from either. Wear winter shoes with a good grip.
Buses and trains
Local buses (Verkehrsbetrieb Davos, lines 303 and 304, about every 15 minutes) and trains (twice an hour) link Davos Dorf and Davos Platz. In 2026 both were free during the meeting; the 2027 plan is not published yet.
Chauffeur within Davos
A chauffeur within Davos during the event week is available on request.
Secured hotels
During the event week, your Davos ride is driven by a chauffeur holding the police driver badge, in a car with the vehicle sticker for drop-offs and pick-ups at the secured hotels.
- Where a street is closed to cars, as some were in 2026, we drop you at the nearest permitted point and tell you in advance.
- Carry ID and your hotel confirmation.
Leaving Davos
- During the event week, leave Davos 5–6 hours before your flight; be at the airport 2–3 hours before.
